Apartment
life in Yorkville
Yorkville was once the destination of many immigrants
from Germany and Eastern Europe. Though some shops remain,
coffee bars and co-ops now dominate the scene.
A mix of new apartment towers and older buildings,
a relatively low crime rate and reasonable rents (by New York
City standards!) attract professional people to Yorkville.
