Apartment
life in Rego Park
Rego Park was first developed in 1923 and its
streets are laid out in crescent shapes. Rego Park is very
similar to neighboring Forest Hills and Kew Gardens. It has
a larger number of apartment buildings and lower rents, which
makes it an attractive place to live.
It's a solid neighborhood but not as prestigious
as Forest Hills, which may explain why the author's grandmother,
a Rego Park resident for decades, insists she lived in Forest
Hills...
