Located in the Southeast part of New York it comprises an area of about 770 square miles. It is approximately 50 miles North of New York City and borders Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Orange County has 3 major highways and an international airport. The New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) is the major route from New York City and Albany. Interstate 84 takes connects with Pennsylvania through Orange County to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge.
