Apartment
life in Lower East Side
The Lower East Side was the seedy first home
for many immigrants between 1870 and 1920. Like other neighborhoods,
the young, artistic and adventurous reclaimed the neighborhood
and as gentrification continues, rents are rising accordingly.
Within the Lower East Side, you'll find the
ever-crowded Chinatown as well as Little Italy. On the northern
edge, you'll find Nolita (North of Little Italy).
