Apartment
life in East Village
East Village was more associated with the Lower
East Side than Greenwich Village until the gentrification
that began in the 1980s. Though you still much shop block
by block, the East Village is a trendy place for hip people.
The East Village is home to several smaller
neighborhoods including Alphabet City, the Astor Place area
and NoHo (short for North of Houston). You'll find mostly
upgraded tenements and some lofts.
